A Pakistani Wants to Separate West Bengal From India and This is What A Bengali Told Him

The bitter rivalry between India and Pakistan is well known. With the emergence of internet, this fight between the citizens of the two nations shifted to social media.

Recently, a Pakistani posted on a social media platform seeking ideas to help separate West Bengal from India. The rational behind his motive is that under Indian rule, the Bengalis are suffering.

This shows the kind of propaganda present in Pakistan. It is not the first time that Pakistanis think that Indian Muslims are facing tremendous oppression from the Indian government and they need help to get separated from India.

Kashmir problem is one such scenario where the sympathisers from the other side of the border support the separatists and terror acts. It’s a different topic for a different time.

In the case of this Pakistani who asked for ideas to separate Bengal from India, he got a shocking reply from a Bengali. Here is the full text of it.

I am the Bengali brother you’re talking about, and I’m touched to see how concerned you are for me.

Let me tell you a secret, ‘brother’. We don’t need your concern. We don’t need independence from India, we ARE Indians. Our forefathers ran for their lives after partition to be in India. We stand proudly with 1.3 billion Indians and sing the National Anthem, which was also written by one of our Bengali brothers.

On a completely unrelated note, do let me know what I, as an Indian can do to help my Baloch brothers in Balochistan to get freedom from Pakistan. Should we do it ’71 style? Do let me know.
